I'm new, and this is my first pos. I've been looking for some meaner mufflers for my 69 mach1 mustang. I curious as to your experience with different brands. I like the sound of borla, (they sound as deep and my subs), but i also am a fan of flowmaster, but they have so many damn series i dont what's what. Basically i want a deep, loud, aggressive sound. Nothing sloppy like glasspacks. So share your knowledge!

Sorry, but I couldn't resist the opportunity - Your first POS?  If you keep buying Fords, it won't be your last! :P  :P

Anyway, I like the 3-chamber Flowmasters on my '73 Camaro. More of a natural tone, the Borlas are more fitting to the newer stuff.

It don't bother me, i know a kid who knocks it cause its a ford (he drives a 93 cavy w/ a turbo muffler and $800 of neons), so i guess i cant really get affended!

StoneFox
Flowtech Afterburners sound pretty kick ass on a big block

DODGE_MAIN
Flo-Pro

I have great feed back about my Raven's series 33. They are marketed by Midas. They are (I am told) compareble to flowmasters. I think they are a little deeper and quiter during normal driving. The Midas web site has some sound clips give it a shot, and good luck. :patriot:

No mufflers...just big straight pipes :D :D

I say go flowmaster 40 series. Those in my opinion sound the nicest. especially on a mustang:thumbzup:

Grape Ape
Sound will depend on your engine and (if any) its mods. I like Dynomax, MagnaFlow and even FlowMaster.

Black99SuperSport
2 Chamber Flowmasters!!!!!!!

NOS/86
2chamber flowmasters (40) series .... at least 2.5 or 3in . but old cars sound pretty good with some well made gut mufflers .

I really liked my Raven 33 series mufflers from Midas. They where similar to 2 chambers mufflers out there, just a little deeper in note. Try the Midas web site they have sound clips for some models. Go with the 33's not the 55's. Good luck.:salute:

Nothing sounds better on a mustang then MAC or Flowmasters. I personally would go with flowmaster 2 chambers. Or if you want it really loud, one chambers.

The Flowmaster two chamber 40 series mufflers will drive you crazy at around 2000 rpm. Personally I like the Hooker Aero Chamber Mufflers. You get that chambered sound, but they won't drown you out inside the car! If you want straight through mufflers then go with the Edelbrock RPM Series. I have used them on several cars and they sound Good!

I like the flowtech warlock mufflers. They sound pretty good and you can uncork them when your at the race track.

Dynamax is some pretty good bang for the buck.

motorhead
go with spintech. sounds awsome, especially no annoying exhaust drone on the highway, love the sound at full throttle 70 rs camaro
