OK, I snapped the stud/bolt that holds the intake plenum onto the throttle body in the parking lot today. Half the stud is in the tb and the other haf is in the retaining bolt. What I'm looking for is a McGiver-type, out-of-desperation style air filter assembly so I can get the thing through the 15 mile ride home so I can work on it there. The engine set up is the traditional V set up; the tb sits on top of the intake manifold, which in turn sits between the heads. It looks like a carburated motor, but with a tb instead of a carb. There's about four inches of clearence between the tb and the hood. I've got access to a lot of things, but not actual tools and car parts.

I know this isn't the right forum for this type of thing, but I'm looking for a quick response, so if the Mods and Admin would be kind enough to let this post stay here, I'll be grateful. Also, I will entertain all "You're a dumbass/shithead/idiot" comments AFTER I manage to get my truck home. For now, I just wanna hear your ideas. Thanks.

Zip ties and duct tape !

really tho, doesnt it have 3 other bolts holding it ?

Nope, only one. Right in the middle. I eventually settled on a rag made from a stolen t-shirt and a hose clamp procured from an unwatched janitor's closet.

OK, I guess I have to get whats coming to me now. Bring on the abuse!
