I am not sure of your question? I am assuming tires right?
I am familiar with the goodyear F1 but the other 2 what brands are those?

VETTKLR
I hear that the best drag radial for sports cars are those bf goodrich g-force drag radials.

No good years tires for me, thanks.

Check this out... (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3)

I'm looking at tires for my Cobra that'll offer some traction action. I'm going for the G-Force Drag radials.

like these... (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+T%2FA+Drag+Radial)

The tire nomencalature is F1-GS-D3, its the same sorry if I confused anyone.

VettKlr, I have looked hard at the BFG's but I am concerned about daily driving and the BFG's may wear a liitle Too quickley. Do you have the BFG's now? I have not decided for sure. The BFG is a good looking tire.

Mr. P
The F1 doesn't fare very well in the Tirerack test data.

I went ahead and purchased the tires (F1GSD3) for my Vette, but I only have the rears. It seems that the fronts are a popular 17" size and they are on nationwide back order :( . Anyways I have cut a solid .15 seconds off of my 60's at the track! this is with the pressure around 28lbs. If not rained out this evening I am goint to go down to 25 lbs and see if I can raise the launch rpm to 2700 with out too much negative wheel spin off the line. Currentley I am in the mid 2.0x times, for me being a stock M6 car with street tires I am fairly happy. DR's may come sometimes this year, but the DR's in the 18" size are still rather expensive.

I spoke with tire rack and they said that the tire did fair better on the road (real roads around town) than the track that they test on. I did not want to go back to run-flats due to the traction issue and so far the tires are doing well for me all around.

I screwed up and went balls out for tires on the Cobra. I got a set of Weld ProStars for it (15X3.5's up front and 15X10's out back), instead of just getting those Damn 18" G-Force tires. I've got some 325/50-15 BFG Drag Radials on it now, and it hooks like a mofo! I had to grind on my brake calipers like crazy, then roll the damn fenders in on my Laser Red paint...nice.

I've talked to 2 people with those G-Forces. 1 dude has them on a turbo LS1 with Escalade heads! He's packing over 600ft-lbs of torque and he loves the hell out of them. He loves them so much, he can barely get 1,000 miles out of them!

Other dude runs a Z06 on nitrous. He's also hooking like a madman on the streets. He doesn't get into them like that turbo TA does, though. His G-Forces have been on his car for over a year.

Sounds to me like you need to tell your friendly, local track officials, "VHT...learn it, live it, love it!!!"

p.s. quit fucking around on tire pressure and drop 'em below 20 psi!!! :hb:

IROC_ZO6
how the f can you guys use the drag radials as daily tires? it rains to much here in s. florida.

VETTKLR
Our local lake is about 90' of where it needs to be for it's average depth. We're kinda' lacking on the rainfall.

EDS01SS
I use Nittos 315/35r17s for daily driving and drag use and they work great until they start getting low on tread. But they are good for 14000 miles or longer and for 185 dollars you really cant beat them.

99FRC
I was going to go the 555R route but the price for the 18" Nitto's and only getting 15k from them was too much to accept.
