hello. i am thinking about puttin a vortech blower on my 302 and was wondering how much boost or what kit would i need to get around 425-450hp. My setup i have now on this car is gt40 upper and lower intake, gt40 cast iron heads, e303 cam, 65mm throttle body, 75mm pro-m MAF, 24lb injectors, long tube headers, windage tray, msd distributor and coil. thnx for any input. would really appreciate it :btg:

If you're stuck on Vortech, grab the tried and true S-Trim (V-1).
It comes with the T-Rex inline pump, FMU and all the goodies you need to slap it on You're probably dancing around 300 hp with your current combo. The S-Trim will put you over 400 hp. If I were you, I'd ditch the e-cam and drop in a Trick Flow Stage 1 cam. The split duration and 112* Lobe Centers will optimize a boosted Pony over the single duration 110* LCA e-cam.
Personally, if I was buying a blower, it would be the ATI ProCharger P1-SC all the way baby!

well im looking for durability here . its goin to be a street driven car on pump gas. any others u recommend? oh yeah with the s-trim can u bump up the psi a little with a different pulley? the s-trim is at 5psi right?

The ProCharger comes with a 3 year warranty. Durable enough for you? :hbd:
I think the S-trim will push about 8-9 psi of boost on your application right out of the box. You can pulley it up for additional boost, but you can only take it so far...54,000rpm's or some shit like that.

whats the most boost i can run on pump gas with 9:1 compression????
oh yeah what do u think about the sc-trim from vortech?? any good? im not looking for much here.

I bet you could run 12 psi with no problems on premium pump gas and the supplied chip.
Right now, I couldn't care less for Vortech and their superchargers. I just had an idler pulley bearing go out on my S-Trim ultimately costing me about a grand.
