Ford Sport Trac governor

Does anyone knows how to get out of the system the governor that comes standard with the Ford Sport Trac? and if so, will it damage any warranties?

Are you speaking of disabling a speed limiter ?

I bet a Hypertech programmer would be your best bet.

If you ever have to take it in for warranty work, you better de-program that badboy, though!

The warranty can't be eliminated for a repair unless there's proof that whatever modifications done participated in causing the failure of parts. But I still say that only a chassis dyno tune is the way to go, as it allows much better tuning overall, and can be had quicker for most of us.
