A song I did 2 yrs ago (in studio)

:btg: Actually, I laid the drum track down in my music room (spare bedroom) on a digital 8 track! sounds pretty good, I'm on the drums and my friend Jeff is on the Bass and Guitars. Aren't 8 tracks great! ;)

The song was just released this month on CD "The Jeff Henshaw Band" I did 2 drum tracks on the CD. The song is called "The Defeat of Old Scratch".

I can't hear it anyway, because my speakers died a few days ago and I haven't repaced them(and prolly won't till I move) yet.

Anyway, did ya get paid for the work, or what? Just curious if this is a money thing for oyu, or just others... Assuming you had much to do with the original sounds.

I get paid for sometimes, other times, it's more of a favor for a friend in the buisness, even when I don't get paid I end up with something, such as free CD's or free studio time for my personal stuff (which I hope to be able to use soon) I always do my own drumming and never copy another drummers tracks. Many times, I was the first person to put down a drum track for the song, so it's kinda like I wrote the part. ;)

Cool. The only instrument I remember REALLY wanting to learn to play and play well was the drums. Never did it though. Even as a little kid, there was just too much to do. I was into sports more than music(still am too) and spent years learning to be a good baseball player...
