I am putting a carbed 351W in the fairlane(someday). I have some spare cash laying around after paying tuition so i am going to buy a cam. The grinds i like are always for a 302 or a windsor with a 302 firing order. so the question is: In order to use one of the cams with a 302 firing order what needs to be done? Is it just a matter of switching the plug wires and timing it as a 302 or is there more to it?

Yeah, you just have to switch the plug wires along with the cam, unless it's got a sequential EFI.

Cams for the 5.0 HO motors have the same firing order as the 351.

I have noticed that a mild 302 cam has similar lift figures to the stock 351 cam, Is the HO cam just a Windsor cam or is there a difference?
