With only 25 miles on the fresh motor (new rings) and NO tuning we made 1 run on the dyno takeing it only up to 6,000ish. it went 332 rwhp / 342 rwtq. The thing is pig rich right now. In about 2 weeks we will be tuning it and hoping for 340 - 350 rwhp! it still needs a LOT of break in! all in all I am pretty happy with those #'s on a fresh motor, stock LS1 heads, stock LS1 intake, stock LS1 MAF with screen even, with a '02 LS6 cam and LS6 springs. Not bad for a A4 I guess.

I was pretty mad about having to do it, but appearently whoever had the car before me (I bought it with 38,000) didn't take care of the motor and it looked as if it had been over heated and they didn't change the oil but once or twice! who knows, it's done now $4,500 later!

YIKES! thats an expensive rebuild! A NEW LS1 is what about 5,500? It sucks you had to spend your money on that, cause $4,500 could have gotten you a LONG way.

Dude, you should have dropped it off up here. I would have done it for a 6 pack.

Mike, that's probably not the part that scares him... It's the idea that you'd have the 6 pack BEFORE doing the work that prolly scares him! :flip:

That sucks about having to rebuild though, but heck at least ya got a little more go fast goodies in it this time around.......

MikeT
Ya JAY if you take good care of it it should last you a LONG time.

LS1JAY, nice numbers! Keep up the good work :)

Crazy new engines. Thats why I drive a 68 Firebird and not a 1994 like I was going to originally. Labor on this old engine costs me mowing the lawn and a few beer for dad and he talks me through everything.

Hope you get the numbers you want. Pretty impressive as is though.
