May be some serious Z06 action...

Every year our region has a "common car challenge" autocross where the members pitch in to buy a set of tires for a single car that everyone runs that day. Two years ago it was a rental Intrepid. Last year we didn't get to do it because we lost our venue after 9/11.

This year it's back, and a local used car dealer is coming up with the car. Since he specializes in Corvettes, he wants us to use a 2001 Z06 he has. Hell, who am I to argue?

So in about six weeks I'll have a report for you on what it's like to autocross a Corvette Z06. Sounds like it'll be a shitload of fun!

Im sure the times will be directly proportional to your fundraising capability (tires). Any other setups allowed?

Hey, they have Corvettes in your neck of the woods? I thought most everyone up there drove around in old model Jeepsters or somethin.
