Horselips
It was a little disapointing for me.The best I could muster was 13.13 @ 104 mph.I was hoping for 12s.
I`m hoping that the temp. and humidity was the problem. It was in the mid 90s and the humidity was so bad that it was almost solid. My 1/8 mile times were about 3 tenths off and the 1/8 mph was lower by about 1 mph.
I`m going back again later this summer after it cools off a little just to see :D .
I wish there was a 1/4 mile track closer than the 190 miles I have to go to get to this one. It`s going to be hard to go back to a 1/8 :( .

I guarantee you that you will see 12's come this winter! whats mods do you have? 8)
Horselips
it has the standard 5.0 Mustang mods.E-303 cam, World Products heads,Performer RPM intake 650 Holley, full length headers.T-5 and 3.73 gears.
There was a good side to it all though. It averaged 20 mpg on the trip. That includes 75-85 mph on the interstate and 3 runs.Thats not to bad is it? :D

Geez, quit bitchin about a very quick time.
From someone that got a 16.7 his first time out (me), your doing pretty good.
I wish to run those kind of times and may soon do so once the car is completely setup and a 75 shot of laughing gas. ;)
Good luck on your future runs and wait for cooler dryer weather for those long sought 12's.

Horselips, good to hear man!!! That's solid, and faster than I've ever run at Epping. I'm gonna get ahold of my friend soon, and see when he wants to take his Z down with me. I'll let you know, it should be a Friday night sometime soon.
They've got racegas there, yes?? I'm gonna bust HARD into the 12s if they do. I've got the car running well. It's lightly tuned right now, and I just ran an 8.52 at 81 out at Oxford in the 1/8th. I was only able to run 17 psi on crap pump gas. So if they've got racegas at Epping, LOOK OUT!!!
Lemme know if you can make it sometime! And congrats again on the time!
Horselips
Geeees Weazel you are still alive!!!Let me know when you are going,a little in advance if posable,I realy want to make 1 more trip.I keep looking to bump into you again at the yard but no luck.Do you get down to the south end at all?I`m still on 470 but I think I`ll be heading to the land level before long.
Weazel
Horselips my man, I WAS aiming for going next Friday, but now my douchebag friend is gonna be down in Newport RI, and I am gonna go see him. Before they close for the year I WILL go and I will tell you as in advance as I can find out.
As for working, I'm on the mighty LEAN team right now (Layoff Everyone As Necessary :P ) Hahaha, just kidding man. We've actually been working with a lot of trades, and they like what we're doing (fixing the bullshit work packages and whatnot). I'm on Land Level all the damn time, on 475 mostly. There are some HOT electrician girlies out there, I tell ya what!! A lot of cute blonde girls, so I manage to make quite a few ship checks!!! Let me know when you move to LLTF, I'll keep an eye out for ya!!
Horselips
Well I`m on 475 now.Was working up in the arrays.I don`t know how long I`ll be up there but 475 is my home for the duration I guess.I`ll be looking for ya.
I guess it`s time to put the Mustang up for the winter.I`ve been looking through catalogs getting some idea how much everything I want to do to it is going to cost me.I`m up to $3,000 and still looking:) .7s in the 1/8 next summer or else:D. I`m going to NewEngland Dragway as soon as I can next spring so I`ll have to wait untill then for 12s in the 1/4.
Weazel
Yeah yeah, time for a GN/Stang SHOOTOUT in the spring :D I'm getting injectors, an alky kit, and some suspension mods (boxed lowers and an airbag for the right side). Hopefully that'll help the launch. And turning 22-23 psi of boost on pump gas with the alky won't hurt either! Lets get down there, run deep in the 12s, and show those riceboys what BIW drag-racers are all about!!
BTW I'm posting from work right now, hahaha :D Waiting for some stuff to print and checking my PMs. Take it easy man, back to the "grind"

Nice car Weazel! Fellow GN owner. Although not as quick as yours. The best I have gotten is 14.0 in the 1/4@ about 93mph and 8.9 in the 1/8 at 78mph but the only mod was a stock replacement K&N filter. Unfortunately its broke right now so I'm saving money to get it fixed and get some extra goodies for it. Is too slow.

I'm running late here but... Welcome to our "forray", Forcefed6. Which track did/do you race on? And what broke, anyway?
Weazel
Forcefed, are you on www.turbobuick.com? I've been over there a lot recently. With a bone stock car a 14.0 is definitely nothing to be ashamed of. I just ran a 13.3 at 102, not bad but not what I was hoping for. Oh well, practice for me!
What broke on your GN? Let me know if you need any advice with it, I know my way around these cars a little bit, and there are people on TB.com that know about 1,000 times as much. Talk to ya soon!
