i'm gonna replace the freeze plugs on my '88 LX this weekend, but i figured since i dont need/use the a/c it should be sent on its way packing. :wavesbye: any suggestions on the easiest way to remove all hoses, etc. ? also the smog pump is on its way out. any help would be great. thx

Get it drained by a local shop first so you don't vent the coolant into the air. After that, just start undoing hoses. Any open connections you can't removed, plug up with rubber stoppers or caps. You should probably removed the parts in the dash too. They can get corroded and cause problems for you if they are unused for a period of time.

The smog pump is a bit more difficult. It is tied into the exhaust system and if you just pull it, you will get exhaust leaks. You'll have to get yourself some brass threaded plugs for the holes and seal them up good.
