just broke the rear swaybar!! (why?)

ok just goin down the interstate today and thump ! thump!! i thought it was my exhaust. but pulled over looked and ouch. hanging by one side. had to bend it untill it broke the other side off, just to get off the interstate. this sucks. whats this gonna do? and where can i get a new and better one? anybody out there had this happen?
