The instructions from Crane recommend using Petroleum based oil for the breakin period.

That cam really needs no breakin period of it's roller. I might consider the 1st oil fill and change it after 600 miles, like a new build, but that's about it. Seems much like an E-303 cam.

It is an E-303, Crane made the E-303.

Shhh.

I think it's best to leave that alone... Considering the cam he has probably works better than the E303. Well, maybe it doesn't. The Stage II would for sure, but maybe the Stage 1 doesn't... No. I'm convinced it's the better choice.

This is hilarious now that I've thought to look! Check it out. SUMMIT PAGE (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=FMS%2DM6250E303&view=4095&N=4294925232+4294924497+4294887637+400070+4294840126+4294924928+4294838550&orig=1)
