Describe the engine and it's components. What engine is it? Is it truely new, or is it rebuilt? Are you using forged pistons or chrome moly rings? It's not uncommon for engines w/forged pistons and moly rings to puff a little bit, as they usually don't run as tight of clearances as with cast components, and forged/chrome moly combos take longer to properly seat.

it is a new gt40 crate motor aluminum heads i do not know the rings they used but the pistons are not forged, everything in the engine is balanced and new, it is not a lot of smoke but just enough to make you wonder
