Pain in the .........

Has anyone had any experience in REMOVING a rearview mirro mounting stud? I've tried the ol chisle, but i dont feel like breaking my windshield. Any suggestions before i try to muscle it off and break my whole damn windshield?

Put a heat lamp on it, then use a razor blade to get it started. I haven't done it, BUTT, have seen it done.


The OLE MAN

I had subs in the astro, the whole assembly mysteriously removed itself. I put them in the cougar and the rearview is loose.

I had to remove one last week. I used a heat gun and a razor blade.
