gear drive help

Hi everybody this may seem like an odd question but I installed a gear drive in a 302 and it seems like the motor is hard to turn it is just the short block no heads yet so how easy should it be to turn the motor by hand I am kind of new to this and was just wondering Thanks for any info.

Maybe someone can jump in here and help ya. Im clueless.
